JAVA XML developer
Siena is a suite of products that distributes Reference Data from the Data Services Group throughout the Firm. This role is for a developer to work on XML-based Distribution services.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop enhancements to existing server and front-end components within the Siena team for the distribution of Reference Data.
Architect, design and develop new components for distribution of data. This includes the use of synchronous and asynchronous services.
Ability to drive the technical direction of the Siena platform within the team and across other Data Services teams.
Ability to liase with other development teams and ensure that development work is aligned to meet deliverables.
Provide last level support for developed components.
Duration : 6 MONTHS
Experience: Minimum of 5 years working in a commercial environment within a structured development methodology. Candidate must have a proven track-record of architecting, designing and developing high throughput, scalable, mission critical server applications. Technical/Business Skills and Knowledge 1. 4+ years of java development experience. 2. Excellent CORE java and object-oriented design patterns. 3. Experience using JMS and JDBC. 4. Experience using servlets and JSPs. 5. Experience developing financial applications plus. 6. Familiarity with market data would be a "plus".
