Web Graphic Designer in Long Island City, NY

UNIVERSAL Technologies, LLC is seeking a Web/Graphic Designer to join our Long Island City, NY team. The Web/Graphic Designer will be responsible for assisting in the design and maintenance for the company website, the design of new logos/identity packages and advertising pieces, and updating the look and feel of user interfaces for new and current intranet/internet applications. Experience: To be considered for the position, candidates must possess the following skills and experiences:

• Experience with DHTML/CSS, HTML/XHTML, applying UI principals in .NET and Cross-browser compatibility design.
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat), Macromedia Fireworks, Macromedia Flash, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Visual Studio.net
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Flash (Including Actionscript 2.0 & XML Integration).
• Advanced knowledge of JavaScript, XML, PHP, and AJAX.
• Knowledge of XML (XPath, DOM), SQL Databases and Schema Design.
• Must demonstrate at least two websites they have designed and helped build.
• Must have proven expertise in working on Mac computers
• Ability to demonstrate a proficiency in overall design and aesthetics.
• College degree in related field or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Minimum 4 years experience in web development/graphic design.

Candidates with the following desirable experience will be considered first:

• Experience with Web Video Editing software is a plus
