A Premiere Investment Bank in Mid-Town is looking for a Sr Business Analyst in there Equity Derivatives Division.
Provide business analysis for the structured products initiatives within the Equities department. Structured products are typically managed outside the current suite of Equities systems/processes, and we are launching an initiative to study these business lines in-depth, to find synergies between existing processes and the standard Equities technology landscape.
Candidate must be have specific knowledge of exotic structured products, as well as significant experience with all facets of traditional business analysis: process workflow evaluation and documentation, gap analysis, evaluating and recommending solutions, risk/reward and cost/benefit analysis, creation of long- and short-term migration plans, creation of test plans, ability to manage UAT process, etc.
Candidate will be on at least a 6-month contracting assignment, with potential to lengthen the assignment. This is a Senior Business Analyst role.
Experience: TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required/Must have:
MS Office Suite
Database Modeling Concepts
Full Development Life Cycle Experience
Desired/Plus:
SQL Concepts
Knowledge of client/server technology concepts
BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE
Required/Must have:
Knowledge of complex structured products
Knowledge of trading and brokerage operations - front to back
Knowledge of derivative product lifecycle workflow
Desired/Plus:
US Regulatory / Compliance experience
MANAGEMENT SKILLS (if any)

Technology Project Management
Ability to communicate to a wide range of clients, including senior management

Clear written and verbal communication skills, appropriate to a given audience, (technical, functional, etc.)
Ability to analyze complex workflow methodologies and make process re-engineering automation recommendations.
Must be a self-starter who is comfortable working in a very dynamic environment, with rapidly changing priorities.

Must be able to interact with a variety of clients and support staff - traders, middle office, development, infrastructure, etc.
Must be able to provide accurate estimation of work effort, and effective status to management as well as clients.
PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE
Required/Must have:
Business analysis including Structured Products, as described in responsibilities section
Equities front/back office applications experience in the brokerage industry
Full project life cycle experience
Experience providing documentation to both technical and client audiences
Approximately 4-5 years of work experience
Desired/Plus:
No limit on seniority - very senior person is welcome; salary commensurate with experience.
