Senior Product Developer in New York, NY

The ideal candidate will have an education or experience in Software Development and Design, Systems Analysis or a related field. Candidate will play a significant role in the Security product team’s goal of designing and testing software to be used by our clients; advertising agencies and PR firms. Candidate should have an interest and aptitude for complex problem solving and testing products to specification. Candidate must be well organized, possess the flexibility and adaptability to work in a constantly changing environment, and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Advertising and Sarbanes Oxley knowledge or experience not required, but a plus. Responsibilities: • Learn the intricacies of our Security system and how our clients use it • Provide support to internal users: Problem solve and respond to product questions/issues, and escalate as necessary • Test new software and bug fixes • Create and implement test plans for both manual and QA testing • Master various databases used by team • Document and manage product requirements for team's use • Learn the user's business need and apply this knowledge when designing and testing new products/features Experience: Bachelor’s Degree (MIS or Computer Science preferred) • Analytical thinker with an eye for detail • Resourceful • Strong organization and time management skills • Strong project management skills • Ability to meet deadlines and adjust to change in work assignments • Possess solid verbal and written skills • Ability to interact and adapt to difference audiences, i.e. peers, senior level management and clients • Team player; able to cultivate relationships with not only other team members, but different teams and departments within the company All applications work with a common layer of security The security team is responsible for developing, testing and maintaining this system. It includes two main security components: • managed us ensuring the integrity of our client's data and authorizing our clients (advertising agencies) to the appropriate systems. • managed by our clients; authorizing individual users to certain functions or data within their company. In addition, our product offering spans mainframe, pc and web development, so the security system must work on all of these platforms. All of these components work together to form a multi-layers and complex system which few within the company fully understand.
