BASIC FUNCTION: As part of M&T’s Consumer Credit Risk division, the Programmer/Analyst would provide data support and general programming assistance to the Risk Management department.RESPONSIBILITIES: Creates and maintains complex datasets from a variety of disparate sources that are used in creation of advanced models Responsible for database maintenance and development/programming of complex reports and spreadsheets Translates business problems into technical requirements.Identifies, implements and documents process, data, and reporting enhancements.Participates and works as a team member/leader on various departmental projects Conducts and completes research on a timely and ad hoc basis for various departmental projects BASIC QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree or above in Information Systems or a quantitative discipline, or have 5 years experience in related environment Minimum of 2-3 years experience in the Information Systems field Excellent PC or mainframe programming, development and/or implementation experience SQL experience Excellent written and verbal communication skills IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS: At least 2 years SAS programming experience Thorough knowledge of mainframe applications Thorough knowledge of MS Office & AccessMBA preferred
