Genesis10 is seeking a Senior Programmer/Analyst for a major client located in New York City. As the Programmer/Analyst, you will support the Risk Technology Development team in building risk management solutions and meeting deliverables and the the Risk Technology Development team in identifying and fixing issues and problem areas.
Responsibilities:
- Help develop risk management technology as per business requirements.
- Suggest and implement ways to use technology to enhance risk management.
- Perform unit testing and regression testing on Risk Management components.
- Implement changes to improve the reliability and performance of existing code.
- Work with the QA team to investigate bugs and help improve the quality of the product.
- Debug and fix problems that may be discovered in production.
- Can recommend tools and procedures to help make the risk management system more efficient.
Experience: Required Experience/Skills:
- 5+ years Software Development experience with C/C++, OOP, STL Multithreading.
- BS Degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Advanced degree preferred.
- Excellent C/C++ Skills.
- Experience in Server Side Design Development.
- Trading System, OMS, or Risk Management development experience.
- Prior experience in the Financial Industry.
Preferred Experience/Skills:
- Prior experience developing risk management systems strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of Equities, Options Futures trading.
- Experience with FIX Protocol would be helpful.
- Experience SQL and RDBMS (SYBASE, SQL Server etc)
