They need to fully understand how best to develop a data warehouse strategy and how to design the data warehouse. They should know what pitfalls to avoid and be able to assess the existing solution and recommend how to improve it. The data warehouse is built using SQL Server. They should be fully competent with SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and the other DW functions of MS SQL Server. They should also have a strong mastery of generic DW concepts like OLAP,Cubes, ETL, etc. **No third party vendors or 1099 contractors.
