Mercury is collection of multiple applications (most of them stand alone) that supports Bureau of Financial Operations (BFO). Mercury was conceived, developed and implemented in the 80s. It was an excellent system that met the business needs and used a leading technology, now the system is very capricious and unpredictable. The Hardware, Software, Operating System and the Application are unsupported and out of vogue, making it extremely difficult even to get outside contractor to support Mercury. The operations of BFO which are detailed in the overview section is severely impacted due to the rollercoaster nature of Mercury System which impacting the operations and productivity. The above requested resource will facilitate the transition of the Travel Accounts Payable System (TAPS), Vocational Rehabilitation System (VRS), Computer Aided Voucher Entry System (CAVE), Revenue Entry Voucher System (REVS), and Refund System (REFS) from the MERWIN (Mercury Windows) module to CAPS+.NET (Central Accounts Payable System). The candidates will primarily focus on the MERWIN Post Implementation Support leveraging Visual FoxPro skills and facilitate the conversion and testing in the CAPS+.NET environment. Experience: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology (IT) and four years related field or eight years direct experience in IT software development. Three or more years demonstrated experience in data conversion and Maintenance activities of large complex enterprise applications in Unix and/or Windows Environment, using FoxBase, SQL Server and/or Oracle database(s) including experience using Automated Batch Job Scheduler. Five or more years experience architecting, designing, authoring, implementing the technical design for applications preferably involving one or more of the following FoxBase, FoxPro, and Visual FoxPro. Five or more years in business analyst activities including documentation, requirements gathering, analyzing and publishing current and future state. Developing Implementation related documentation and post-implementation documentation including change management. Five or more years in testing and QA activities including experience in developing test scripts, entry/exit criteria and supporting the User Acceptance Testing Effort in a client/server environment.
