Due to our consistent growth and prosperity, we are looking to fill a key Output Distribution Operator opening within the Data Center of M&T Bank.RESPONSIBILITIES: The incumbent operates high speed Mainframe Data Center printers and peripheral equipment associated with the printing of Bank reports and customer Statements.Provides customer service to all departments in the bank by printing and distributing their output requirementsEnsures top quality output is being produced, especially statements and checks going to outside bank customers.Performs report reprints as required via the Report Distribution systemProvides Backup responsibility requirements for the Tape Library FunctionsProvides Backup responsibility requirements for Mainframe Console Operator FunctionsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Must be able to work 8:00 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. any day of the week on a 3 day rotating scheduleRequires CRT/PC and/or terminal knowledgeFamiliar with DP terminologyOperation skills and organizational abilities necessaryExcellent communication skills necessaryMinimum of a high school diplomaMust have good PC skillsAbility to lift 50 lb boxesIDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:A good knowledge base of the Report Distribution systemKnowledge of JES2, SDSF and peripheral hardware operation recommendedKnowledge of high speed Xerox printersProfessional Work AttitudeKnowledge of Mainframe job processing and scheduling a plus.
