Job Description: This position encompasses highly technical responsibilities for design, implementation, enhancement, maintenance, analysis and security of WEB based applications performed at varying levels of difficulty and with varying degrees of latitude for independent initiative and judgment. The applications development would include a mix of pure web related applications and applications that are currently running on the mainframe that needs to be web enabled. The candidate is responsible for securing data and servers used for Web development as well as development, maintenance, and support of a comprehensive company website and intranet; compile, analyze, and utilize site visitor statistics to improve content, navigation, and search functions; maximize search engine optimization and marketing efforts. Summary of primary duties and responsibilities: Ø Ensure adherence to domestic and international SPAM laws Ø Execute responsibilities of security officer for all WEB related applications and systems; must possess web security experience (working with certificates, encryption, SSL, etc.) Ø Establish & maintain secure data links to various systems (AS/400, SQL servers, etc.) Ø Develop, implement and maintain security strategies to protect information over the Internet Ø Develop, implement and maintain strategies to safeguard Web servers and their contents Ø Secure the dissemination of confidential information over the Internet Ø Maintain SQL databases, change control and SQL server administration. Ø Design, create and maintain interactive applications (programming) Ø Interface with WEB host, our Legal Department and TRS' Executive management to address all security concerns and/or breaches Ø Interface with internal staff (PC and AS/400) for accessing data. Ø Work with project teams to build mockups and prototypes, establish and create style guidelines and style guide documents as project deliverables. Ø Design and implement creative designs and graphics using (X)HTML and CSS. Ø Experience optimizing images for web UI and creating HTML/CSS that matches a Photoshop/Dream weaver design layout and understanding how mockups translate to code. Ø Asset Library formation and management including maintenance of templates and image archives. Ø Produce a consistent visual image across our web sites Experience: § 4 years of active web programming experience in ASP, VB, VBScript, JavaScript, HTML, MS IIS 5 and Visual Studio 6 § 2+ year's professional web design experience in web markup or scripting languages: HTML, XHTML, CSS, JavaScript. § 2 years of WebSphere v5.1 development experience in Java, EJB, JSP, JDBC, and Servlets. § 2 years of SQL Server 2000 experience § 2 years Web security experience Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college, including or supplemented by 24 semester credits in computer science or a related field with two years of satisfactory full-time computer experience in computer systems development and analysis, applications programming, databases administration, systems programming, data communications, including one year in a project leader capacity or as a major contributor on a complex project; or high school diploma with six years of satisfactory full-time computer software experience as described above.
