Our client has an immediate need for an Auto Cad Designer. As an Auto Cad Designer, you will be responsible for the following: • Collaborating with team project managers and other team members to perform design and drafting and reporting for project assignments • Preparing maps, drawings, permits, and layouts of land base, facilities, space, apparatus and equipment for new fiber designs using AutoCAD Map 3D 2007 • Maintaining computer generated CAD files according to company standards • Performing complex design assignments as needed • Creating and maintaining facility route maps for all markets using Delorme Street Atlas USA XMap/GIS Editor • Plotting and printing maps, detailed drawings, and presentations • Working in conjunction with engineers and contractors • Altering existing drawings to suit engineering and production documents • Checking design against specifications to ensure component selection and layout meet the company's design requirements • Reviewing engineering drawings and supporting documents for adherence to drafting standards To express your interest for more information and immediate consideration, contact Robert Half Technology at today! <br/><br/>All applicants applying for U.S. job openings must be authorized to work in the United States. Experience: To be considered for this role, the following is required: • General knowledge of electrical systems and components, and civil and structural systems and components • In-depth knowledge of AutoCAD Map 3D 2007 software, PC, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Visio, Access, and Oracle required • Application and working knowledge of raster to vector conversion of engineering drawings is a must • High school diploma or equivalent with specialization in drafting required • Excellent analytical and communication skills • Experience field mapping existing utility facilities, underground and aerial, using strand mapping industry standards • Familiarity with standard engineering and drafting concepts, practices and procedures, basic electrical and mechanical drafting/design concepts To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
