Our Client has an <B>IMMEDIATE</B> need for a highly motivated SAN Engineer that has experience with designing and maintaining Storage Area Networks. The environment consists of several servers running Linux/UNIX and Windows. The ideal candidate must have experience dealing with <B>Windows 2000/2003 Server</B>, <B>Red Hat Linux</B>, and UNIX (Solaris) being a plus. The engineer must be able to work independently in the environment and be able to lead new implementation projects. This position is starting on a W2 consulting basis with the possibility of going permanent shortly after. Applicants must be able to start an opportunity without having to give notice, this position will move very fast.

Experience: <b><u><font color= "#3399CC">Skill sets required: </font color= "#3399CC"></u></b><br><ul>

&#149; 5 + years in configuration, design, implementation, and monitoring of Storage Area Networks (SAN) <br>
&#149; EMC Fibre Channel Storage arrays <br>
&#149; Must have <b>5+ years</b> experience with <b>MS Server Applications</b> (Exchange, Active Directory, IIS, etc.)<br>
&#149; Experience administering and configuring UNIX boxes. <br>
&#149; Perl, Bash, VB Scripting a strong plus <br>
&#149; Experience with HP, HP-UX and Dell PowerEdge hardware <b>
&#149; Veritas NetBackup, Backup Exec, Disaster Recovery Planning experience a must. <br>
&#149; LAN WAN monitoring. <br>
&#149; Experience supporting Linux on Oracle<br>
&#149; Windows on SQL Server<br>
&#149; MCSE, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CAN are very highly desired. <br>
<br>

The highly qualified candidate should also be able to start immediately. Our client is looking for a candidate that can solve technical issues when they arise and develop excellent documentation of the SAN environment. Attention to detail is extremely important. Must be able to relay technical updates/ information to high level execs and non technical people.
