Basic Function:Responsible for administering security access on centrally managed platforms and applications.Responsibilities:Examine, select, and process System Access Requests (SAR’s) in order to provide security access for centrally managed platforms and applications.   Utilize departmental tools (ex. Control SA) and departmental policies and procedures to grant the security access.  Seek additional information regarding System Access Requests that is in question in order to obtain missing information or proper authorization. Make phone calls, e-mails and inquiries on assorted database information.  Respond to customer inquiries regarding the access request process, policies and procedures.  Administer security on centrally managed platforms and applications as appropriate per current experience and training.  Security is administered in accordance with documented departmental policies and procedures.Basic Qualifications:Associate’s degree or equivalent in work experience.  Strong PC/skills and knowledge.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills.   Self-motivated, well-organized individual.  Ability to work under time constraints.  Ability to function professionally at many different levels (clients, management, and peers). Ideal Qualifications:Previous Mainframe experience.Data processing experience.  Working knowledge of ACF2, Novell or Active Directory Security.
