Application Skill Comments Essential Job Functions:
Perform software test automation using Compuware Hiperstation for VTAM. Work directly with multiple application resources and determine strategy for converting manual test cases into automated test scripts for our Customer Information Control System (CICS). The test scripts must
be created with a focus for reusability and maintainability.
Responsibilities:
Develop automated robust test scripts for various mainframe applications. Collaborate with Technical and Business Analysts to perform analysis on manual test cases and understand transaction flow. Identify characteristics that make a script ideal for automation. Evaluate and provide recommendations for automation suites for each application: Work independently to create automation suite for each application. Document strategy and process/procedures that will be turned over for application resources to maintain at end of assignment.
Experience: MUST HAVE:
-Compuware Hiperstation for VTAM 07.07
-Highly skilled in coding REXX programming language
-Can create robust automated scripts
Highly Preferred Skills I Experience:
-Working knowledge of IBM z/OS Mainframe System Environment
-Experience in CICS Support
-Compuware Hiperstation for VTAM 07.07

-Experience with TSO, ISPF, JCL Procedures and running batch jobs
-Strong written and verbal communication skills
-Excellent time management and organizational skills; detail oriented
