Polycom Administrator in Albany, NY

Travel to various locations throughout New York State will be required by the candidate. Client currently operates and maintains eight classrooms in seven locations throughout the state. Other than the classroom site in Latham, NY, the locations are as follows:

Binghamton Morrisonville .
Buffalo Syracuse
Peekskill Troy

There are approximately 16 to 24 regularly scheduled maintenance and classroom support trips per year.


Experience: MANDATORY Requirements:
1. Tandberg / Polycom Videoconferencing: Minimum 1 year experience, performed within the last 3 years, ability to setup, conduct and troubleshoot basic issues during a conference is required.
2. PC Troubleshooting: Minimum 2 years experience performed within the last 5 years. Ability to define basic problems and fix them or appropriately report the issue to the next level of service.
3. Background Investigation: Position requires successful completion of National Agency/FBI background check for security clearance. Any record of criminal felony, drug abuse, or subversive activity is an automatic disqualification.

DESIRABLE Experience (listed in order of importance):
1. Videoconferencing using an Internet Protocol (IP)-based system.
2. Troubleshooting software issues/upgrades.
3. Advanced PC troubleshooting using audio conferencing.
4. Customer service experience and ability to relate pertinent information to the end user.
5. Videoconferencing using a TANDBERG and/or a POLYCOM system.
6. Familiarity with POLYCOM MGC-25/50/100 bridge services.
Provide instruction groups of students on assets present in workstations or videoconferencing.
