Network/Systems Administrator in Albany, NY

You shall investigate, diagnose and resolve problems with PCs, printers, servers, data communications hardware and software. In addition, the Consultant shall develop procedures for solving problems with PCs, printers, servers, data communications hardware and software. Prepare a formal, written document defining said problem solving procedures and shall distribute said document to staff. Administer the creation and security monitoring of user accounts and groups. Monitor the ticketing system, communicate with users to result in a prompt resolution of the problem and document all the steps taken to resolve the problem. Experience: Bachelor's Degree four years experience in data processing three years experience working in a client/server environment with workstation and server hardware/software configurations three years experience in client/server environment with Microsoft 2000/XP desktop operating Systems three years experience in client/server environment with Microsoft 2000/2003 operating systems; and three years experience on a client/server environment with communications involving large LAN, WAN and VPN environments. Four years experience troubleshooting data communications equipment including hubs, switches and routers, firewalls, VPN tunnels, circuits and radius servers; Four years experience providing technical support in a large scale client/server open systems environment for Microsoft Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 servers Four years experience providing level 2 support including SSL VPN and client VPN Three years experience providing technical support within a large scale client/server open systems environment for Microsoft Windows 2000/XP workstations; Three years experience configuring and supporting Active Directory and applying group policy in a large scale Windows 2000/2003 environment Excellent oral and written communication skills.
