Job Description:Genesis10 is seeking a Senior C Risk Services Developer for a major client in NYC on a Full time basis.This is an extraordinary opportunity for a solid C financial services developer to make an impact in a Risk group at a global financial services firm.The Risk Services Group at major capital markets firm is responsible for providing firm wide risk solutions as well as system support. The group works closely with the Quantitative, high performance computing and business-aligned departments.Responsibilities:Designing, developing, testing and supporting enhancements requested by client IT teams to the existing and next generation risk frameworks.Working with internal clients and users to capture their requirements and help architect a solution.Designing, developing, testing and supporting changes necessary to the framework to meet these requirements.Tracking and reporting status of deliverables both internally and to our clients.Resolving issues as software enters test phases.Experience:Required Skills/Experience:Degree in Engineering, Science or Math, Preferred: Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Math degree with 3.5 GPA or higher.Multi-threaded, Server Side software in C .Full software life cycle and a good practical understanding of software development best practices.High level system design and Object Oriented software design.Frameworks and/or Product development.Very strong C knowledge with a pragmatic approach to software development.Good testing skills.Aptitude for "Instrument-the-software-when-you-build" methodology for effective troubleshooting of the issues in production environment.Ability to identify common patterns/challenges and convert them to frameworks or best practices.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Preferred Skills/Experience:Technical Leadership with aptitude for mentoring less experienced team members.Experience with Large distributed Risk and PV calculation systems.Software development in .NET/C# and Python.Development of Excel add-ins and use of VBA.Grid computing (eg: DataSynapse or Oracle Coherence).Knowledge of derivatives, risk (the 'Greeks'), PnL reporting.Client Salary and Benefits:VP level role.Competitive salary dependent upon experience.Performance Bonus.401(k) with employee match pension plan.Premium Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription, Disability, Life Insurance and Long-Term Care benefits.Generous Paid Vacation, Holidays, Sick Days, Personal Days.This is an excellent opportunity to join a winning team.
