Software Engineer in New York, NY

Genesis10 is seeking a Software Engineer for a major client in New York on a contract basis. In this role, you will be a talented, disciplined, and detail oriented software engineer designing and developing core functionality. Must have a solid track record developing complex software applications and systems. Experience in portfolio level analytics, fixed income, or derivatives analysis is a plus. The Portfolio Analytics & Risk team is beginning a complex and ambitious project to build a world class portfolio analytics system. This system will compete with gold standard market players and will be offered as a premium addition to the core service. This effort involves significantly increasing the staffing levels and engaging in new and interesting projects around the area of equity and fixed income performance attribution, asset allocation, and risk. Experience: Required Experience/Skills: - 5+ years with large scale client-server C++ software, multi-threading, XML, service-oriented architectures and relational databases. - Ability to articulate technical vision.
