Project Details:The Senior Network Engineer will implement, deploy and support client Network in the central data centers. This position will focus on Networks, Wireless and Firewall Security networks solutions. In addition, the Senior Network Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting IOS, Network hardware issues, network configurations, and capacity and availability issues. Responsibilities also include various network installations and upgrades, Network IOS upgrades configuration, participation in project activities, performance tuning of the environment, infrastructure and process documentation. The candidate must be capable in scaling, building, deploying, troubleshooting, and managing Cisco network environment. The candidate must be familiar with Cisoco IOS, switching and routing, firewalls, and management tools. The candidate also should have extensive analylitical experience in working with manipulating data using advanced formulas in excel.Duties & Responsibilities:- Responsible for infrastructure implementation, deployment and support of technologies related to Cisco network and wireless solutions.- Configuration and implementation in project deployments. This includes development of configurations, testing, implementation and documentation.- Expert knowledge in physical network platforms including Cisco networking switching and routeing, firewall, caching solutions and manegment tools.- Expert knowledge in specifying network connectivity requirements, data center cabling, Cat5 trunks, fibers bundles, electrical requirements, KVMs, Racks, patch panels, and peripherals.- Ability to quickly and efficiently create parts and equipment lists for Network components, electrical, network cabling, Racking components through research of option and providing alternatives,- Researching, compiling, evaluating and providing networks specification to fulfill solution requirements.- Support and maintenance of network and wireless technologies.- Support implementation of network technologies solutions to satisfy business and infrastructure needs.- Monitoring the availability and utilization of Network infrastructure resources for optimization and Maintain the integrity of Networks and Wireless, including work with Probes and other network management tools.- Performing preventative maintenance tasks Network updates, upgrades)- Ensuring compliance with the organizations data centers and security standards are enabled.- Racking, Stacking, Installation, upgrade, connections and cabling of Networks within the data center, and in the schools including Network additions and removals.- Configurations, IOS upgrades and troubleshoot problems with initial installation, connectivity, and Monitor problems.- Monitoring network and system performance along with tuning and capacity planning.- Advanced Network troubleshooting inquires in-depth knowledge of all network, wireless and Firewall hardware and solutions, and has extensive troubleshooting.- Compliance with organizations operating standards and change control processes- Work on trouble tickets and follow-up on service request with Network vendors.- Compile and manipulate data using scripts and database for reporting statistical and network data information.Skills Requirements:- BS in Computer/Electrical Engineering/science or technical emphasis or relevant experience is required.- Minimum 5 years of design, build, implementation and support experience with Cisco Network and Wireless technologies including IP, Appletalk, DNS, DHCP, Routing protocols (RIP, EIGRP, OSPF, etc.), and Wireless standards.- Minimum 5 years experience, installing, configuring, monitoring, and troubleshooting Network hardware and related data center equipment.- Must have extensive knowledge with excel and be able to manipulate database information.- Strong Scripting knowledge to gather data and pull information from database.- Good technical documentation, problem solving and analytical skills.- Strong aptitude and technical knowledge of Cisoc IOS.- Strong technical design, implementation, and troubleshooting knowledge of network and Wireless solutions.- Proficient in Internet protocols and standards such as TCP/IP, FTP, DHCP, WINS, DNS and related management tools.- Knowledgeable in monitoring solutions such as HP OpenView, Netcool, and Nagios system(s).- Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills and ability to thrive in a team-based environment.- Work on Network build/rebuild requests, event log monitoring and review, performance analysis, and hardware performance monitoring.- Ability to lift up, install, cable, network, power up Networks in data centers and in School MDFs unassisted.- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and conditions.- Document of all work and Network environment.- Excellent communication and documentation skills utilizing MS Word, MS Project, MS Excel and Visio.- Ability to perform after hours shift work.- Analytical skills in identifying problems, determining causes, suggesting and implementing solutions.- Attention to detail - follows detailed procedures and existing standards.Desired Certifications:- CCNA/CCDA/CCNP/CCSP.Additional skills:Demonstrated ability to:- Take ownership of projects and deliver with minimum supervision- Organize and prioritize tasks based on management request- Document findings and prepare reports- Conduct accurate situations assessment, communicate with team and management- Work with teams.
