Project Description: Work with key business and technical staff of New York City/State agencies to collect and document requirements for select enhancements to an existing DNA application. Produce requirements and detailed design specifications for targeted application enhancements, which will require integration of stakeholders legacy systems with the DNA application. Apply best practices for requirements gathering and design.Development possible secondary focus:Code application enhancements based on specifications described above. Perform unit testing and fixes during testing phase. Assist City with preparation for UAT. Produce and update systems design documentation and user documentation to reflect system modifications. This includes class diagrams, sequence diagrams, activity diagrams, etc. Apply best practices for development and testing.MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: (Note: candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered.)A Bachelors or Masters degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.Proven experience working with stakeholders to define requirements and produce requirements specifications.Proven experience integrating web applications with legacy systems.A minimum of 4 years experience producing detailed design specifications and developing in Java for large-scale enterprise systems.Excellent oral and written communication skills. Solid knowledge of testing tools and techniques.This 3-4+ month position in Metrotech Center, Brooklyn starts ASAP.
