Systems AnalystNew York, NY90KRESPONSIBILITIES* Perform project analysis and document findings as per current documentation standards.* Provide necessary level of project management and control to keep all assigned projects on schedule.* Conduct business area analysis, requirements definition, logical and detailed design, testing, and implementation for all assigned projects, according to departmental policies and procedures. * Assist the assigned user areas in maintaining vendor supplied applications and relationship with those vendors.* Provide full support for all assigned Bank vendor applications. System support includes, but is not limited to: problem resolution (business and non-business hours); user support; and system maintenance.* Assist the project manager and end users in identifying and recommending automated solutions to business problems.* Assist in the evaluation and implementation of vendor-supplied solutions. * Lead a project team on large-scale projects as assigned. This includes performing the project management duties required with minimal supervision from the Project Manager.* Provide assistance and direction to developers as required.* Accurately track and record hours worked on assigned projects/maintenance.

Requirements:

REQUIREMENTS: * BA/BS in Finance or computer science preferred.* Highly skilled in systems analysis, design & recommendation of solutions.* Highly skilled in systems integration across heterogeneous platforms.* Highly skilled in the evaluation, recommendation and implementation of vendor supplied solutions.* Proficient in project management techniques and one or more Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.* Proficient in use of relational database environments.* Proficient in design and development of processes and work flows.* Proficient in business areas of asset and liability management, financial modeling and risk management.* Working knowledge of UNIX & Windows.* Working knowledge of programming and software development methodologies.* Working knowledge of testing and performing software (and associated hardware) benchmarks.* Basic understanding of enterprise and system modeling.* Strong leadership qualities.* Strong organizational skills.* Strong interpersonal skills.* Excellent oral and written communication skills.* Ability to work independently.* Ability to train and mentor junior staff.
