Innovative and specialized telecom software vendor located in lower Manhattan is currently seeking a success driven and reliable technical consultant. The position will entail installation of the software at customer sites. Follow-up high-level technical support and occasional pre-sales work may be required.
Qualifications
5+ years in IT (ideally telecom/networking)
2+ years of experience in Java-based development, software integration, Intranet architecture, multi-layer applications, XML, relational databases (RDBMS).
Flexible and easily adaptable. Functions well in a cross-cultural, fluid environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Excellent team skills. Experience working in cross-functional organizations.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
Responsibilities
Expert on company software functionality and architecture.
Responsible for defining and delivering the professional services for always adhering to timelines.
Documenting deliverables and creating customer user manuals.
Responsible for supporting and maintaining installations.
Occasionally assisting with preparing technical responses asked of customers and partners.
Prepare and deliver technical training – internally, to partners and to customers.
Some travel involved.
