The BearingPoint IT Strategy is currently searching for a Strategy and Architecture Consultant
Location/s: in the New York area
Performance Profile:
Experienced technology professional with IT architecture or product management expertise within either a global financial services firm or a technology product firm servicing the financial services industry. Ideal candidate will have experience in strategic planning, marketing, sales, and product implementation through all phases of lifecycle (Inception, Elaboration, Construction, Transition) and possess deep knowledge of financial services (capital markets experience a plus). Must have deep technology competence and outstanding communication skills.
Responsibilities:
-Client facing consultative role
-Preparation of strategic planning deliverables
-Project team support
-Presentation preparation support
-Business and data analysis
-Solution sales and marketing support (both internal and external)
-Project logistics and planning
Basic Requirements:
-Degree in a CS field required (MSCS is a plus)
-4-8 years of experience in Product design or product management experience or IT role in Financial Services
-4+ years experience in financial products and capital markets organizations
-Minimum of 4 years experience in documenting design requirements
-Ability to translate business requirements into technology solutions
-4 years of programming and development methodologies and experience developing business cases (RUP, UML)
Additional skills:
Knowledge of major legacy and emerging technologies, especially as relate to financial services industry
-Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
-Quantitative analytical abilities
Candidates must have the ability to accommodate a Monday-Friday travel schedule
