Systems Engineer for Global Hedge Fund! in New York, NY

Our client is a Global Hedge Fund managing $5 billion in assets. They are looking for a systems engineer with strong experience on Microsoft back office technologies to work in a collaborative team environment.


Functions:
? Citrix implementation and administration.
? Storage administration (EMC, NetApp, HP).
? Application packaging and deployment with Wise Package Studio or equivalent.
? Active Directory and Exchange Administration, Support and Engineering.
? Automate routine administrative tasks thought the use of utility script development, and application scripting technologies.
? Create thorough documentation for all related infrastructure projects.
? Provides project reports and other documentation throughout the project lifecycle and quality assurance for respective projects.
? Identifies and evaluates future technologies for enterprise and departmental solutions.
? Participates in capacity planning, system installations, upgrades, and other maintenance activates for enterprise and departmental systems.
? Completes special projects and other job related duties as assigned by management.


Key Technologies:
Windows server 2003, Storage, Citrix, Exchange 2003, Active Directory, SQL, DFS, VBScript, Perl, Security, Networking


Qualifications:
? Required: Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems or computer Science or Equivalent technical work experience.
? Required: At least 5 years hands ? on experience managing a large scale enterprise Windows 2000/2003 infrastructure.
? At least 2 ? 4 years in ? depth experience with administrative scripting and application packaging in a Microsoft environment.
? Preferred: MCSE 2000Certification, MCSE 2003 a plus


Skills:
? Knowledge of storage technologies such as RAID, Snapshots, Mailbox Recovery, SAN and NAS. EMC storage and/or NetApp.
? Knowledge of programming principles and command of VBscript, PERL, and/or Windows shell scripting.
? Solid understanding of a 24x7 high availability mission-critical server infrastructure. Ability to create and manage Operational processes and procedures with a solid understanding of building scalable technology solutions.
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
? Must be self-motivated and highly professional with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
? Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
? Some Linux knowledge a plus.
