SENIOR SQL SERVER CONSULTANT / DBA
We have a customer in New York, City that is in need of a SQL Consultant to help optimize their current SQL environment
Type of position : 3 Year Contract or contract to hire
Occasional Travel to Princeton, New Jersey
RESPONSBILITIES:
Review Current Environment and make recommendations
Capacity Planning
Lead stored procedure code reviews
Implement and Monitor Security
Develop operational Procedures
Design disaster recovery, policy, procedures, and testing are implemented
Create Production Support Plan and Procedures
Perform DB operations and maintenance
Perform DB software installations, configuration and upgrades
Develop or install and configuration, monitoring and DB utility and management tools
REQUIREMENTS:
Expert physical database design, performance optimization, clustering and database replication
Five or more years of database administration operations experience in a Microsoft SQL Server environment.
Expert knowledge of SQL Server 2000 and SQL 2005
