Position Description:
. Candidate will be a part of a global team that manages day-to-day operations of a 100+ server global
. Exchange 2000/2003 and Active Directory infrastructure; Provide Level-3 Support to desktop support
. groups; Day-to-day administration of the Messaging & AD infrastructures in a fast-paced and dynamic financial services company.
. Prior experience in a financial services firm is mandatory for consideration.
. Day-to-Day operations include: Insuring that all servers are performing properly; Perform daily system checks; Proactive capacity planning, trending, analysis and maintenance; User and development group notifications for all production infrastructure changes; Virus signature deployment (Microsoft Antigen);
. Responding to Help Desk escalations; Mailbox, Distribution List and Public Folder administration;
. Completion of user service requests to ensure that all SLA's are met; Evaluation and deployment of operating system and application patches, hotfixes or updates; Administer Postfix MTA's; Administration of anti-SPAM message filters (SurfControl); Administration and support of 2,000+ BlackBerry PDA's and 6 BlackBerry Enterprise Servers.
. The candidate will also be responsible for interfacing with the help desk and end user support in order to insure that the group is performing effectively and providing service to our business users.
. Messaging & Active Directory Operations support is a 7X24 organization with follow-the-sun worldwide coverage.
Operations support includes:
. Building and deploying new servers to SOE (could include travel)
. Upgrade, retire or expand existing servers
. ?Software upgrades
. ?24x7 on call support for problem resolution (call rotation with other team members)
. ?Configuration and deployment of new applications turned over from Engineering teams.
. This position requires a B.S. degree or equivalent, and a minimum 5 years hands-on experience in
. messaging, specifically working with Exchange 2000, Exchange 2003 and Active Directory in a multi site
. global environment. Windows 2000 and Windows 2003 experience required. Hands-on working
. knowledge of Exchange 2003 clustering is required. Experience with Linux and Postfix are definite pluses.
. Experience with Exchange running on EMC Symmetrix or DMX, NetApp or Clariion SANs are desirable.
. Additionally, candidates with working knowledge of KVS Enterprise Vault and Ilumin Assentor or CA
. Message Manager is highly desired.
