Our client has an immediate need for a Database Analyst, responsible for retrieving data, compiling it into desirable output, and providing meaningful analysis for all programs and departments. As a Database Analyst, you will perform both simple and complex information queries against the membership database on the AS/400 system leading to production of reports, mailing labels and data transfers to DocuTech. Other responsibilities include:
• Working with outside mailing list customers, including refining their requests, invoicing, performing queries, and reformatting data to customer requirements
• Primarily responsible for transportation and offsite storage, retention and retrieval of all backup media
• Downloading and processing dues payroll data from various facilities, including FTP transfer
• Managing sale of member names and addresses to outside firms; producing mailing list
• Transferring membership data to Vocus, ANA, online course provider, JLT and other programs or stakeholders as directed
• Ordering all new equipment; Servicing all printers in the office and maintaining toner cartridge inventory; Supervising an assistant supporting this function.
• Designing and assisting in processing Cardiff system forms, including scanning support, server software, training, process output, SQL database; Designing and implementing print-as-you-go forms used by Membership Services department.
• Administering AS 400, including scheduling maintenance, backups, programming support, serving as CAS membership system software liaison, ordering and applying all systems PTF’s, OS and releasing updates and client access service packs
• Creating LM-2 data
• Managing all Blackberry and cell phone accounts through service provider
• Producing reports that require a high degree of formatting using Crystal Reports
• Training other staff in the use of Crystal Reports, as directed
• Running and distributing critical monthly reports for membership and accounting, as well as print other documents as needed; Creating archiving CE’s of membership and accounting reports
• Participating in the work team for conversion to new membership system
• Providing input into Information Systems department budget with regard to supplies

Experience: To be considered for this position, the incumbent must possess the following:
&#149; Minimum 2 year degree
&#149; System operator or similar experience with IBM mid-range computers (AS/400, iSeries) and operating systems required
&#149; Experience with membership systems is a plus
&#149; Must be able to work with deadlines and be able to produce accurate results consistently
&#149; Must be self motivated, fast learner and prepared for challenges
