Job Description:

We are looking for a Systems Support Engineer that is both experienced and interested in Windows server and desktop administration, to support a software development organization. The environment is Microsoft centric (no LINUX/UNIX) in tandem with a state of the art Cisco network. The environment is cutting edge with technology being one of the core focuses of the group. Candidate must be a self starter, highly motivated, able to work in a team environment as well as independently. Candidate must be highly technical, possess professional hands-on troubleshooting skills and have very strong skills in supporting a Microsoft Active Directory network environment. In addition, it would be ideal that the candidate have experience supporting a Microsoft Office SharePoint Server in a production capacity.



It is essential that the candidate is able to work under pressure and multi-task simultaneous requests. This position requires a minimum of 4-5 years in the IT industry supporting a range of clients and technologies with Microsoft being the focus of the candidate's background.


Experience: Hard Skills:

. Microsoft Windows Server 2003, 2000, XP, Vista (install/support/troubleshoot)

. Microsoft Office SharePoint Server Experience (MOSS 2007 Preferred)

. Management (Creating accounts/mailboxes, modifying objects, the ability to create/run scripts (Windows PowerShell a big plus)

. Network Technologies (Ethernet, Cisco Wireless, (WPA/WPA2, PEAP, etc)

. Desktops, Notebooks, Servers (Supporting Dell Optiplex/Latitude/PowerEdge)

Soft Skills:

. Friendly and customer focused

. Able to work in a face paced, thriving environment with a lot of dynamic change

. Passionate & Motivated (LOVES learning technology and sees Information Technology as a long term career)

. Able to communicate ideas and thoughts in a concise, clear manner

. Able to work independently

. Able to prioritize tasks

. Able to start and finish tasks without requiring a lot of hands-on management

Education:

. Bachelors from accredited college is ideal.

. Microsoft Certification (MCSE Server 2003) is highly desired.
