BS/BA or equivalent
3-5 years minimum work experience as a QA Analyst
Mercury QTP experience
Worked with web-based, database-driven applications and client-server applications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong analytical and technical skills.
Detail-oriented and ability to multitask
Ability to write test plans, manual test cases and test scripts.
Ability to convert manual test scripts to automated test scripts using Mercury
QTP
Ability to stage data and configure test environments.
Strong interpersonal skills to interface with developers, management and clients.
Ability to facilitate and coordinate internal testing meetings and client UAT meetings.
Experience with Mercury QTP in debugging and modifying scripts;working with object repository; using VBScript operators, statements, functions
; using looping statements; using data table objects;retrieving data from database tables and files; working with object properties using constants and variables; retrieving properties for objects;error handling and recovery.
Experience with Mercury LoadRunner in configuring runtime settings for the controller; using VUGEN to create load test scripts add transactions to measure response times (After recording and while recording); applying debugging techniques in VuGen (breakpoints and steps); define rules for correlation in recording options, correlate dynamic value using the create parameter option; using performance monitors, adding measurements to performance monitors, analyzing load test results to diagnose bottlenecks, interpreting LoadRunner graphs and statistics to write results reports
Experience working with a defect-tracking tools, e.g., Test Director, ClearQuest.
Ability to perform work flow and data analysis between file extracts and database tables.
Ability to understand and write SQL queries
Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Capability Maturity Model (CMM) or Six Sigma processes.
