Looking for a Sr. Network Technical Analyst direct hireSalary should be in the 80s but willing to do 90K.

NYC - Only GC or US citizens.

The NA Network Operations team is responsible for implementing new technologies, monitoring the network, troubleshooting network related problems and doing necessary maintenance and upgrades to provide the highest availability and the most reliable service to our customers.

The role and responsibilities of a Senior Network Technical Analyst are outlined below. He/she will work closely with the Network Engineering, Telecommunications & Security groups during the implementation and support of new and enhanced networking technologies into the operational environment. In doing so, it is imperative that appropriate standards are created, documented and maintained with the goal of providing an unsurpassed quality of service to our customers.

Purpose and Responsibilities of the position:

Support role:

Configure, install, monitor and maintain network switches, routers and VPN devices at the companys enterprise data centers and customer sites.

Troubleshoot complex routing or network related issues.

Troubleshoot and provide solutions to routine hardware and software problems.

Should be able to make smart business decisions and manage projects independently, sometimes under tight deadlines. However, if a sensitive issue or a major problem is suspected the problem should be escalated to the Network Engineering group or the Network Operations Manager.

Minimize client productivity loss caused by technical outages.

Provide infrastructure support to meet various business needs.

Maintain network equipment for service replacements or upgrades as detailed with vendor maintenance agreements.

Monitor the Remedy Helpdesk system for daily trouble tickets. Provide quick problem resolution for open issues. Ensure data pertaining to the status of the service requests are entered into help desk tracking systems.

Monitor and control infrastructure performance in the areas of response, throughput and availability.

Aid in locating the necessary tools and processes to identify troublesome trends. Understand identified trends and plans designed to resolve problems and prevent them from recurring.

Provide 24x7 on call support for all sites in North America. This is a shared responsibility with other members of the Network Operations team and is handled on a rotational basis.

Work occasional overtime hours and weekends to complete maintenance work that cannot be done during normal business hours.

Work with customers to adapt their applications and infrastructure to the approved GIS standards.

Document network configurations for all data centers and supported agencies. Provide Visio diagrams for network configurations, document equipment configurations, maintain port to node list and other pertinent information for troubleshooting networks remotely.

Proven experience in the following:

- A thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, LAN/WAN architecture and advanced routing protocols.

- Experience using network management tools to analyze, monitor and troubleshoot network related problems. (Ciscoworks, EtherReal, SolarWinds, Snort, etc.)

- Experience with RADIUS and TACACS.

- Must have a thorough understanding of Cisco IOS, CATOS and extensive hands-on experience with Cisco routers and switches.

- Experience supporting PIX firewalls and VPN Concentrators.

- Experience implementing routing policies through access lists, filters and AS-Path controls.

- Experience working with and/or designing large scale networks.

- Experience implementing QoS/CoS

- Experience with Unix/Linux and Microsoft OS.

Qualifications
CCNP/CCIE certification or equivalent job related experience
BS in Information Technology, MIS, Engineering, etc. or equivalent experience
Minimum 5+ years directly related experience
Minimum of 3+ years in Cisco environments: switches, routers, and firewalls
Minimum three years experience working with advanced routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, BGP, STP, VTP, MPLS, IPSEC
Software: MS Project,
