BASIC FUNCTION:As part of M&T's Technology Infrastructure division, the Senior Analyst would report to the Team Leader of the Storage Administration Group. Provides technical and operational support in the development and exploitation of distributed and mainframe software procedures. Performs planning and provides guidance in the implementation of DASD management philosophies. Exploits DASD management technologies keeping up to date with current trends and industry direction. Responsible for analysis, design, implementation, documentation of tasks and projects relating to all tiers of enterprise disk storage.RESPONSIBILITIES:Utilizing M&T’s Project Management Methodology performs the installation, maintenance, exploitation, documentation, and day-to-day support of enterprise products related to SAN and Disk environment that will enhance system functionality and integrity.Develops and implements strategic data storage and recovery solutions.Provides analysis and resolution assistance to operational and technical personnel.Provides assistance in the analysis of issues related to products supported by the group.Works with technical, operational, and functional areas to answer questions, resolve problems and identify opportunities for efficiency gains.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems or related experienceExperience with EMC hardware and EMC software products.Proven project management skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbalExperienced in multi platform storage management techniques including disk SAN’s.Ability to prioritize and perform technical tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:Possess a broad understanding of the Bank and of the business unit's role and how they fit into the organizationHigh aptitude for complex problem analysis and resolution.
