I. Position Summary:(Summarize overall purpose of the job, why job exists, major end results, what is produced.)
Installs, upgrades and maintains complex operating systems to serve as the platform for various applications supporting Branch and corporate locations.This is primarily comprised of Windows based servers and network components in Active Directory Provides technical support to resolve complex technical problems.responds to technical questions as appropriate.
II. Essential Job Duties:(Describe the principal job responsibilities in order of importance.Include what is being performed, how task is accomplished and why action is being done.Where possible, include quantitative measure and start each duty with an action verb, such as “plans”, “directs”, “prepares”, etc.)
1. Experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows-based servers and peripherals in an enterprise environment.Familiarity with IBM servers extremely helpful.
2. Experience managing a large, distributed Active Directory network with trust relationships to other domains.Experience with VS, VM’s is helpful
3. Familiarity of IT processes and procedures including change management, software distribution, security patch management, data/email retention, information and physical security, separation of duties, etc.
4. Data Management experience with storage area networks.Experience with enterprise backup and restores relating to data and server recovery, disaster recovery and archiving.Familiarity with StorageTek/SUN SAN and CommVault enterprise back-ups beneficial but not critical.
5. . Experience with network/server monitoring tools. (Ex. IBM Director, CA Unicenter, Sniffer, CiscoWorks, IP Monitor, etc.).
6. Experience solving user support issues
7. Ability to effectively communicate with users and staff of all levels, as well as external vendors.
8. Maintain currency in new technologies
Experience: Basic Qualifications:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
