We have an immediate need for a IT/Security/ Audit Compliance Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Development and delivery of a comprehensive security model and approach to data protection
2. Develop user access security model with identified roles and privileges for appropriate data access, and also a security model for service accounts for use in integration of system components and execution of batch jobs
3. Gather data security and protection requirements, and develop a comprehensive security model that meets the information security and privacy requirements
4. Coordinate development of scripts with development team, and implementation of the security scripts with deployment team to build/deploy the security model
5. Coordinate with infrastructure team development and implementation of physical security of infrastructure, server/database level security for defining security model for administration users
6. Work with client Chief Security Officer (CSO) to understand IT Security strategy and vision, and to be able to align security model of the system under development
7. Define SOP for handling of security related incidents and coordinate with CSO and Help Desk
8. Assess, manage and audit technology and business processes in compliance with NYCBOE Security procedures
9. Manage, perform and/or document risks on security matters
10. Identify and implement automated security monitoring, management and/or reporting mechanisms
11. Perform Security Awareness Training
12. Provide guidance to end-user support regarding security initiatives
13. Primary work is for the New York City Board of Education, located in Brooklyn, NY
EXPECTED PERFORMANCE GOALS:
1. Perform overall strategy, implementation and management of security for the SESIS implementation at the New York City Board of Education
2. Train staff that work on SEISIS security matters
3. Contribute to the profitability of the project
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelors degree (masters degree preferred) from an accredited college or university in Technology or related field, and two or more years of technology security experience
2. Previous experience with security and compliance in information technology field
3. Working knowledge of encryption and authentication technologies and protocols
4. Working knowledge in network vulnerability analysis/identification, including understanding of hacking, probing & attack methods, intrusion detection and system auditing
5. Working knowledge of complex security issues with sensitive data that will be hosted in offsite dual data centers
6. Experience implementing statutory and regulatory requirements for information security and other IT security standards, procedures and compliance requirements
7. Experience in dissemination and adherence to security policy, standards and procedures
8. Understanding of industry standard compliance requirements like SOX, ITIL, ISO
9. Experience in developing and implementing an information security program and model
10. Experience in Infrastructure and Data security, especially in education
11. Familiar with MS Project or other Project Management Tools
12. Project Management skills
13. Ability to work with diverse groups
14. Good communication (Verbal and Written) skills
15. Team player and leadership skills
16. Primary work is for the New York City Board of Education, located in Brooklyn, NY
