Senior Systems Administrator in NEW YORK, NY

The position leads an IT staff, and is responsible for the technology infrastructure across multiple offices in the United States.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Admin will need to evaluate all areas of the IT department and infrastructure. The Senior Admin will be responsible for developing an IT Help Desk, determining support priorities, and coordinating the IT team. Help desk responsibilities include providing support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, and telephones, end-user training, and maintaining inventory records. This is a hands-on role and help desk work will be an ongoing part of this position.

The Senior Admin will also manage all vendor and consultant relationships and will conduct a comprehensive review of all current contracts and make recommendations for continuing, canceling, or re negotiation of these contracts.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years experience in an IT management position. Candidates will have demonstrable experience leading an IT department that includes establishing policies, developing budgets, managing vendor and consultant relationships, coordinating a Help Desk, planning for disaster recovery, understanding technology trends, following industry-recognized best practices, and leading a team of technical staff. Leadership, communication skills, excellent problem solving skills, and long-term planning will be required to succeed in this role. You will be ready and able to lead a dynamic IT team that is focused on building an enterprise-class IT department and eager to take on new challenges.
Experience: 4 Year Degree Required
Microsoft CRM Experience Required

Strong experience is required supporting Microsoft Windows XP/Vista/2003 Server (installation and administration), Microsoft Exchange 2007, Microsoft SQL Server 2005, Microsoft Terminal Services, Microsoft CRM, Citrix, Symantec Antivirus, Trend Micro ScanMail, Trend Micro OfficeScan, Trend Micro ServerProtect, Symantec Backup Exec, Blackberry Enterprise Server (BES), Active Directory, Mac OS X, Microsoft Office 2000/2003/2007, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, and desktop imaging using Microsoft WDS and Symantec Ghost. Applicants will have excellent knowledge of DNS, DHCP, Disaster Recovery, LAN/WAN design and network cabling. Experience supporting Microsoft CRM, MAS 200/500, Google’s Postini Anti-Spam, Siroky Group’s KB World, and WebSense a plus.
