We have an immediate need for a System Release and Change Coordinator
JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Create and implement System Release and Change Management procedures, communication protocols, and establish Change Advisory Board (CAB)
2. Work with client to understand and document requirements for System Release and Change Management
3. Develop work flow of Release and Change management procedures
4. Integrate Release and Change Management procedures with various project work streams related to development of a new system, and to standard operating procedures (SOP) after system implementation
5. Develops and presents recommendation, explaining and clarifying results
6. Track and monitor all related change requests
7. Ensures that each change request has appropriate supporting documentation for all assigned releases
8. Progresses all change requests through each approval stage, and schedule timely Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to review and approve change requests
9. Interfaces with component owners to agree change / development activities
10. Interfaces with engineering for availability of new or changed build components
11. Establishes, maintains and communicates the system wide change release schedule
EXPECTED PERFORMANCE GOALS:
1. Perform overall management of Change Control for the SESIS project implementation at the New York City Board of Education
2. Inform staff that work on SESIS project of the change control process and related efforts
3. Contribute to project profitability
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
1. Bachelors degree (masters degree preferred) from an accredited college or university Business, Technology or related field, and two or more years of systems change control experience
2. Primary work is for the New York City Board of Education, located in Brooklyn, NY
3. Must be highly organized and have above average written communication skill
4. Proven ability to work effectively with all levels of staff and management
5. Ability to work independently and deliver results with minimal supervision
