The position is located in Lakewood, NY, 14750.Pay rate is $17-22/hr.DescriptionWorking in assigned territory, is responsible for the overall remedial and scheduled service support of a key account. The Printer Support Technician provides quality service execution performance to meet or exceed Customer commitments resulting in high levels of Customer Satisfaction. RESPONSIBILITIES: * Respond to dispatched service calls at Customer sites * Accurately diagnose, repair & maintain printer product(s) and accessories in peak operating condition within published electrical, mechanical and print quality specifications * Effectively schedule calls to manage assigned activities * Ensure regular and effective communications with customers to ensure awareness of call acceptance, ETA, status and closure * Assist customer with any reported issues or questions on products * Train Customer on appropriate usage of product & features * Ensure proper repair and maintenance procedures are performed on identified device(s) and Total Service Call Procedures are completed prior to leaving customer site. * Follow prescribed administration procedures to ensure proper collection and reported of required data, including, but not limited to; call acceptance, status updates, call closure and debrief, parts returns and tracking * Manage local part inventory and ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels and transactions. * Present a positive image through proper attire, communication skills and personal grooming. Assumes other special activities, responsibilities, and special projects from time to time as directed. Occasional travel (10%) to Lexington, Ky required for product training.REQUIRED: EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:2 years experience in customer computer/printer maintenance support. Knowledge of IP protocol schema and basic network protocols such as SNMP.PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Individual must demonstrate clear business maturity, in appearance, focus, poise and alertness. Self-motivated and comfortable working within a team environment within a customer facility, dealing with day to day end users issues.Outgoing individual and well organizedDemonstrated ability to perform in a multi-tasking environment.Capable of moving equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.PROBLEM SOLVING: Experience in interfacing with Customers, and resolving customer problems.Demonstrated ability to a systematic approach to problem solving through analysis of the problem and evaluation of alternative solutions.EDUCATION & TRAINING: Valid driver license requiredWorking knowledge of printer hardware maintenance is a plus.
