PLEASE NOTE: Only U.S. Citizens or permanent residents will be considered for this position. Our client is a major television production company seeking a qualified candidate to lead the architecture, design, development, and maintenance of software systems. Responsibilities will include: Driving the analysis and design of software systems by shaping system requirements, and developing analysis-level documents that reflect the requirements Maintaining system and design documentation, and preparing materials for project reviews Supervising the maintenance of software systems Planning, prioritizing and monitoring work for team members working on multiple projects Planning and monitoring the implementation, UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and production release phases of project Actively creating, refining, and evangelizing processes and technical standards for the department Serving as point of contact between IT and clients, and between groups within IT Experience: Spring/Hibernate- 2+years Leading projects and managing teams- 3 years Application Server (WebLogic preferred)- 4years Web Frameworks, JSP or, Swing (Spring Webflows preferred)- 3 years SQL and entity relationship modeling (Oracle Preferred)- 7+ years Ant / Ant Maker / CVS- 2 years IDE- 4 years Rose (or some UML tool)- 4 yearsOther Requirements:Strong understanding of all aspects of corporate software development; strong client, server, database, and reporting skills Ability to be flexible in roles with an in-depth knowledge of J2EE applications used for complex problem domains Full understanding of systems composed of multiple related applications, from both software and business perspectives Ability to weigh business and technical requirements to produce project plans and estimates Strong time management and multitasking skills Ability to handle changes in business requirements and priorities across multiple projects Business and negotiation skills to work with clients and business analysts to determine what features the project team will deliver, given constraints of staff, time, and quality Ability to manage small teams (less than 5) that require coordination across multiple groups Strong oral and written communication skills Strong understanding of standard software development lifecycle methodologies Software development ability, experience, speed, and quality Ability to lead complex tasks, such as partitioning an application across tiers, establishing transaction boundaries, and selecting integration technologies like message passing and directory services Experience in data migration between systems and work flows **This position is open to U.S. Citizens or permanent residents/green cards.** To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
