We currently have an outstanding opportunity for a Chief Content Architect to join McGraw-Hill Education (MHE), based in New York City . The Chief Content Architect will lead the adoption of new systems, processes, and organizational structures that will radically transform MHE's production of instructional content in print and multi-media formats. MHE's short-term objective is to achieve radical reduction in the costs and cycle-time of content production via such steps as technology-enabled planning and development based on atomic learning objectives, automated alignment to state standards (in K-12), component search and re-use, and automated print and multi-media production. MHE's medium- and long-term objectives are to enable cost-effective support for innovative instructional solutions incorporating features such as data-driven individualization, automated evaluation of content efficacy, and integration of user-generated content. Essential Accountabilities: Oversee the creation of new content production architectures that support MHE's short-, medium- and long-term product offerings in response to market needs Drive technology selection in support of new content production architectures, including evaluation of MHE and off-the-shelf technologies, custom solutions, and acquisition/partnership options, with thorough evaluation of costs, benefits, risks, and risk mitigation strategies Advise on implementation of processes and organizational structures that, in conjunction with new technologies, will enable transformation of MHE content production Interface with senior leadership across MHE including Segment executives, Business Unit leadership, and Editorial, Design, Production and Media Technology leaders in order to respond to business needs and to evangelize new solutions Create and lead a Content Architecture team in support of above objectives Continue to look at other content technology to ensure MHE is the leader in setting the pace of content strategy and focusing on reducing costs Manage a team of 7 individuals in the content and strategy group as well as managing outside consultants that have a large impact on the businesses success in implementing/supporting the content strategy Proven experience in leading the transformation of content production in a large business with at least $5M of total annual savings achieved through new processes, systems, and organizational structures A minimum of 15 years in senior leadership roles in information-intensive industries, with progressively senior responsibilities Demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, with strong interdisciplinary communication, collaboration and relationship skills Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment Strong interdisciplinary communication, collaboration and relationship skills Able to work with multiple businesses to meet business goals McGraw-Hill Education: Where the World Learns to Succeed McGraw-Hill is an Equal Opportunity Employer To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
