The Applications Manager examines existing processes and systems, then proposes and implements appropriate technical changes to those systems in line with the business requirements. The Applications Manager must be able to document and diagram existing and proposed processes; determine solutions to technical problems; develop, test and launch new IT solutions.<p>
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Liaise with internal clients to identify business issues.<br.
2. Creative logical and innovate solutions to complex data problems.<br>
3. Document and diagram existing and proposed processes.<br>
4. Develop, test and launch new IT solutions.<br>
5. Support data collection and analysis in secure, confidential databases. <br>
6. Provide Claims System Help Desk support. Troubleshoot system and data integrity issues with all servers (confidential and non-confidential).<br>
7. Generate reports and queries. Audit and test validity of data results prior to distribution.<br>
8. Provide user training.<br>
9. Write user manuals.<br>
10. Perform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned.<p>
PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
1. Able to grasp, respond to and resolve user issues.<br>
2. Production of audited user-friendly/appropriate reports and queries.<br>
3. Ability to digest complex situations and suggest creative solutions. <p>

Experience: -BA/BS degree, preferably with a computer science focus.<p>
-8-10 years business analysis/IT development skills.<br>
-5 years application development tools<br>
-knowledge of property casualty claims and insurance systems preferred<p>
Skills/Abilities:<br>
-Oracle or MS-SQL database experience<br>
-Significant experience creating Crystal reports using Oracle or SQL Server<br>
-Proven analytical skills. <br>
-Excellent listening skills.<br>
-Good documentation skills.<p>
