Robert Half Technology seeks a highly motivated, skilled and dedicated Flash Game Engineer to fulfill the primary technical duties in producing advanced AS3 (Flex/Flash) games and web-applications for download. Candidate must be a specialist with AS2 or AS# and experienced with developing complex Flash applications for deployment on consumer-style Macintosh and Windows computers.
The Flash Engineer will collaborate in a small team with the Flash Developer, Game Designer, Graphics Designer and other production staff to develop original projects for consumer distribution.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Act as primary developer of games and websites using AS3 in Flash or Flex
- Write advanced, well-organized object oriented ActionScript 3.0
- Implement game and website functionality and defy imagination!
- Develop projects that run efficiently on Macintosh and Windows
- Creatively resolve gameplay, functionality and production issues
- Manage / synthesize project schedule, milestones and ambitions
SKILLS
Expertise with ActionScript 3.0, Flex 2, Flash 9 and Flash Video
- Expertise with HTML and JavaScript
- Knowledge of bandwidth restrictions and file-size optimization
- Knowledge of 3d programming a plus
- Experience with videogame and user interface design
- Proficiency with Macintosh and Windows computers
- Ability to work collaboratively in small teams
- University qualifications are regarded but not required
PROJECTS
- Programming “mini-game” engines
- Programming application installers for Macintosh and Windows
- Development of a Player Tracking / Triggering System
- Development and integration of the Game GUI
System for collecting, trading, using, etc.
