Our Client seeks a system administration specialist skilled in IBM Websphere, SuSe Linux, IBM Portal, DB2 to install, deploy, test and administer the hardware/network/software infrastructure in support of DOC's next generation of core applications particularly those that have to do with the Agency's portal infrastructure and jail management systems.
Experience: MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCENote: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered.. Five Years experience in a Web based environment, IBM Web sphere, IBM Portal. Experience and in-depth knowledge of SuSe Linux and Windows 2000 Server OS. Install and administer various server applications such as application servers (WAS), portal (IBM Portal) and IS Management (TIM) . Experience in deploying web based application in a clustering environment.. Experience in monitoring the performance of the server based hardware and software. Ability to generate reports and troubleshoot system performance.. Experience in backing up and restoring files on a server.. Create and follow through on change control for any modifications to the agency's software or hardware infrastructure.. Knowledge of HP hardware and software. Ability to install Linux OS and updating all the firmware needed to bring the server up to spec. Ability to research open source technologies.. Excellent interpersonal relations, communications and people skills.DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPEIENCE . Experience in a corporate IT environment.. Experience in a customer-facing corporate environment.. Understanding of business process software.. Understanding and experience in disaster recovery.
