SOFTWARE ENGINEER - ORACLE DBA
Performance Expectations:
This individual will be part of a development team to design and develop an integrated software and hardware system for image science related applications. The system is developed to process, distribute, and exploit images, which may include development and implementation of algorithms. Individual must have willingness to support the use of software tools and processes.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science / Mathematics
Minimum 5 years software development experience
Basic Core Skills / Experience:
Installing and configuring Oracle 10G+ experience on Solaris and Linux platforms
Analysis and optimization of Oracle installation for performance
Partitioning tables spacing and optimizing indexes
Understanding Oracle clustering / gridding
Oracle backup and recovery strategies (RMAN)
Java EE development
Unix shell scripting
Excellent communication and writing skills
Special Requirements
