Our client is seeking a candidate who is able to work directly with us on W2, no 3rd parties please. This is a 12 month contract role located in Rochester, NY. We do offer referral bonuses if you know anyone who may be a fit, we have multiple openings!The roles that I am looking for are WITHIN an integration group and involves absolutely no user interface development, Web or otherwise. Data Architecture there is no Physical Database involved, as this is the architecture and mapping of data inside of a SOA group. We are building DataServices to wrapper over older systems, modernizing them so as to integrate them with the broader Xerox SOA services. There is an element of visual modelling, an element of coding through a visual modelling tool, and elements of test & design to verify that the services work correctly end-to-end through the modelling/development tool. We are in final procurement on one of: Progress DXSI, Oracle ODSI, or opensource XAware tools to handle our modelling needs Must have experience in the following: Analysis & Verification of business requirements to comprehend a normalized view of data models Production of common data modelUse of DXSI or similar DataServices tool to produce XML-centric servicesMapping data elements to/from common model to exposed interfaces and existing data sources Must have teamwork skills, the ability to perform requirement analysis and experience with model driven development and data architecture - 5 years Prefers candidates in the Rochester area. Would entertain interviewing candidates willing to relocate on their own, but those candidates must agree to a face-to-face interview in Rochester first. No relocation expenses, or interview travel expenses will be paid. Not interested in candidates more aligned with project management of Datawarehouse projects or systems administrators. Also, not interested in data admins. This group is not using any direct SQL queries in their work. They are looking for true data architects with an emphasis on model-driven development. Plus skills would include knowledge of the following: Progress DXSI, XML schemes, SOA interfaces, Java/XML, Eclipse or other IDE tools, RedHat MetaMatrix, Oracle ODSI, BEA AquaLogic Data Services Integrator, or the opensource project XAware. The above are all tools that will be utilized by data mappers who will use the analysis and models the data architects provide in order to map the data elements from the Back End systems to the logical data model.
