Sr. C++ Fixed Income Developer in New York, NY

Our Client, a Major Investment Bank is looking for a Senior C++ Fixed Income Developer to join their growing midtown location as an Assistant Vice President in the prestigious Electronic Trading team. This person will be joining a team of analyst/programmers to work on C++ server and client side components where they will assist in an integration project with high corporate visibility. Experience: Responsibilities: . Liaising with business representatives to determine requirements . Analyzing those requirements to find the most appropriate method for incorporating them into existing systems. . Developing requirements into production-quality code. . Documenting changes . Unit, system, regression and performance testing requirements. . Reviewing code produced by others . Working with the business representatives during the UAT stage . Supporting the implementation of each new code release Skills / Requirements: . Computer Science degree or equivalent experience . Strong C++ and STL development experience in a Windows environment. . Strong multi-threaded programming in a distributed environment. . Good exposure to software design . Strong experience with relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server) . Must have fixed income product knowledge: Rates, Treasury, Bonds Agencies, Derivatives, Swaps experience . Good knowledge of ECNs and MarketView a very big plus . Must be able to communicate effectively with the trading desks to get requirements, handle issues and manage expectations. . Must be able to communicate effectively with development team members, technical and non-technical stakeholders and users in appropriate fashion. . Should have a good appreciation of the software quality testing process. . Must also be able to maintain and improve the project standards. Salary and Benefits: .
