Senior Analyst in Not Specified, NY

Duties: Organizing, planning and performing SOX testing work and preparing supporting documentation; Developing and maintaining testing scripts; Reviewing and/or verifying records and data; Reviewing, analyzing, testing and documenting systems, internal controls, procedures and policies; Identifying SOX control deficiencies and working with the business owners to develop effective remediation plans to strengthen compliance with the controls; Identifying and resolving other SOX testing issues with creative solutions; Skills: Knowledge of the organization''s operating systems and control environments is preferred. Must have ability to develop and implement effective audit approaches. Must be capable of evaluating controls and efficiencies; as well as prepare comments for communication to management and external auditors. Must be capable of working independently under limited supervision. Must also possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills are required. Education: Bachelors degree required (Accounting preferred). A minimum of 3-6 years of Full time overall experience including 2-4 years experience in auditing, accounting, and business analysis or program evaluation preferred.
