JOB DESCRIPTION: Performs visual inspections at supplier facilities on assigned part numbers. 1. Perform visual inspection at supplier facility on assigned part numbers, as requested. 2. Read and interpret drawings. 3. Apply inspection plan to parts under inspection. 4. Forward information on all accepts and rejects to QE. 5. Document on form the inspection results and details of rejects. 6. Perform audits of supplier processes and facility as requested by QE. Included are detailed written results. 7. Follow up on any corrective actions with the supplier, as needed. 8. Recommend changes to QE which may improve product acceptability. Required skills: Must have good oral and written communication skills. Scope: Manager would prefer candidates who have a Bachelors degree in a technical field, but no degree is required. Experience: 15 years visual inspection experience on space and defense electronics. Working knowledge with MIL-Specs, along with solder inspection and failure analysis experience. This position is in LONG ISLAND, NY. Local candidates only. This is a part time position (approx. 12 - 15hrs per week).
