Java/oracle developer (must have exp writing scripts to extract data from the oracle database) with SERVER SIDE Java development, to work on risk management team on the trade processing side. Duration: 6 months " Strong application development skills in Java and oracle. Strong analytical skills and problem solving skills. Must be first and foremost a technologist and trained in technology. BS degree in computer science or engineering. " At least 7 years of experience developing Java applications with relations database like oracle applications " At least 3 years of experience creating scripts, testing in QA and implementing large data updates into production databases. " At least 3 years of XML or Java integration experience required " At least 2 years of experience using a change management system such as Subversion or Clear case. " Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documentation, professional journals, technical specs and project management documentation. " ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. " demonstrate ability to work as part of an application development team, create structured code for integration into larger systems, document work for maintenance in a production environment, create task lists, timelines and deliverables, work to meet project schedules determined by others. " Demonstrate the ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions. " FX options, commodities, or GEM financial knowledge is a plus but not required. " DBA experience is a plus but not required. " Any OLAP design implementation is a plus " Design, develop and maintain server based business process for APRIL database. " Create scripts and packages for data integration, data maintenance or bug fixes. " Write SQL statement for ad-hoc report generation. " Develop proactive working relationships with employees both inside and outside the APRIL AD. " Prototype new database requirements and refine requirements as required.
