Start Date: October 12, 2009 Recruiter: Peter Roos Phone: 627-5020 x208 Job Description We have a six month contract opening at our client, located in the greater New York City area for a Full time qualified Project Manager. Start date : Early October (exact date still to be defined) Estimated End date: 6 months from end date Classification : Full-time Location: Dedicated onsite in the greater NYC area Travel and living expenses will be reimbursed. The ideal is to have a candidate from the New York tri-State area. Requirements: The ERP Project Manager will work with Information Services, the health system, and hospital sponsors. The PM will manage the entire project life cycle for multiple, medium to large scale projects focused on business driven Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) initiatives. Experience managing PeopleSoft HR/Payroll (version 8.0+) projects is preferred. Knowledge of PeopleSoft Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) is a plus. The PM will plan, execute, monitor, control, and close the project according to defined objectives and Project Management Office (PMO) best practices. Microsoft Project experience is preferred; NIKU Workbench experience is a plus. Responsibilities include identifying needed project resources, managing or coordinating the efforts of resources from Business, IT and third party contractors or consultants in order to deliver the project on time and within budget.Primary Responsibilities: Develop an integrated work plan that identifies interdependencies across functional teams, detailed work plans for each upgrade, and manage the project life cycle from initiation though implementation and closure. Demonstrate strong leadership skills with significant direct interface with clients at all levels within the organization having essential responsibilities to manage the customer relationship and resolve customer issues. Develop and maintain project plans and all associated written project documentation. Manage and control project and project delivery teams to assure that project deadlines are met, escalate issues for appropriate and timely resolution, and adhere to PMO methodologies. Track actual performance against planned performance, analyze variances, and problem solve to ensure all customer needs are met while maintaining control of the project. Take a proactive approach to the identification, management, communication, and mitigation of project risks and issues Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis and effectively communicate project status and expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely, consistent and clear manner Specific experience/skills required: Bachelor's Degree is preferred or equivalent experience; PMP Certification is a plus Five+ years managing IT projects for business driven Enterprise Resource Planning implementation projects, preferably PeopleSoft HR/Payroll & EPM. Experience with projects having inbound/outbound interface builds, infrastructure requirements, and/or initiatives to migrate PeopleSoft environments is a plus. Familiarity with Back Office business processes (HR, Payroll, Finance, Purchasing) Experience with Microsoft Project or NIKU Workbench, and advanced Excel Project implementation experience with an understanding of infrastructure, HR data mapping, and payroll testing requirements including a general knowledge of the functional and technical roles required for successful implementation Ability to organize/facilitate multi-disciplinary teams to resolve service issues Strong analytical and problem solving skills Experience developing and implementing complex project plans and budgets Versatility and flexibility; superior customer relationship skills, organization, negotiation, and project management skills are essential Exceptional communication, presentation, and leadership skills required To Apply to this job go to http://www.GadBall.com or click here
