Live in Philadelphia, NJ, and NY -or- Reston, VA. Perform tech lead and project manager duties for projects involving the design and development of products and business applications that are large scale and globally distributed. Must be intimately familiar with a variety of programming and software engineering methodologies (waterfall, iterative, unified, agile, etc.).Must have expertise and significant hands-on experience in software design and development. Required Skills: 6 to 8 years experience in software engineering.2 to 3 years of experience in managing software development.Ability to proactively raise issues if specification will lead to quality, system performance, or architectural issues in product. Interface with Technology and Business stakeholders to gather, define and document software architecture requirements.Analyze requirements to develop reliable and flexible software architectures.Drive technical software design and implementation with a hands-on approach. Author software architecture specifications and participates in the creation of detailed technical design documents.Knowledge of multiple technology platforms/languages: J2EE/Java, EJB, JSP, Websphere, Weblogic, HTML/CSS, DHTML, XML, SOAP, JavaScript, MVC patterns, JavaScript, Java, PL/SQL, C/C++, RDBMS, CORBA, .NET, COM/DCOM Design and familiarity with UML toolsMust possess poise, confidence and professional maturity to interface with senior-level executives in a clear and concise mannerPerform decision analysis, simulation, optimization, and decision-making to support the evaluation and selection of alternative software architectures.Provide guidance and direction to the engineering and development team to ensure architectural integrity of the expert understanding of the technologies, architectures and implementation issues at all layers.
