Network Administrator (ACE) in Long Island City, NY

This is a fulltime position and the client is looking for someone to start immediately. Duration: 12 months + Location: Long Island, NY/ Zip Code: 21076 Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000/ Annually Role: Network Administrator Role Description: The Network Administrator would need to have at least 5 years of experience. This candidate would be involved in CSS to Cisco ACE (Application Control Engine) migration. The Network Administrator would be responsible for load balancing 100 Cisco Switches within 3 locations (NYC, NJ, and LI). Most of the work will be done in Nutley NJ. The work will be heavy deployment, but will also be asked to do some design and configuring of ACE, as well as testing post installations. Required Skills: In order of importance: - ACE (Cisco Application Control Engine) (The MOST Important). - Load Balancing. - Firewalls (checkpoint, Spalt). - Routers and Switches. - MUST have EXCEPTIONAL communication skills. - Will be working in a small team and will need to communicate with high level management. - Documentation is a huge aspect of the job, so written English is also very important. - Need to have come from a large environment (coming from a large financial industry would be great). - Cisco 11503, 6503 Routing/Switching. - Must be open to travel between sites (most done remotely in NJ). - ACE module set up. - CSS hardware-based load balancing. Education: Bachelor's degree in Science Experience: Minimum 5 years Relocation: This position will cover relocation expenses Travel: No Local Preferred: Yes Compensation and other relevant details: We are looking only for people willing to join us directly as W2 employees.
